What does the meaning of the cat’s sitting position look like?

Our tomcat often sits somewhere, observing the world with his tail tucked over his paws, as can be seen in this photo.

Does anyone know why cats drape their tails over their paws like that? Is it simply for comfort, does it provide warmth, does it protect the paws, or is there something else entirely behind it? Google didn't spit out much 😅

I don’t know if this has a special meaning, but I always say that they have “cleaned up” when I see ours doing this. I guess they’re doing this out of well-being.

that she dreamed up – is a cool thought I didn’t even have – is somehow right…

Is a well-trained cat who understands putting herself in the scene – ours also does:

They stand for the Spinx and this is the expression of their royalty and sublimeness

I don’t know, I could imagine the body being completely under control. Not the mouse in the tail.

Do our cat and I have no idea. I think they’re more comfortable.
