What does nuclear unrest mean in gynecology?
Hello, I had a visit to my gynecologist. I was seeing a new gynecologist because I was moving.
I'm totally confused. 😶
My PAP smear showed PAP 2, and the NILM test showed everything was fine. The results are standard.
Suddenly, my gynecologist calls me. He asks me to come back for a check-up in six months because they've detected a nuclear disorder, which means the results are unstable. I wanted to ask her what that meant exactly, but she hung up.
She also had the results relatively quickly, but didn't get back to me until four weeks later, and was very quick on the phone: "Don't be alarmed, Ms. Xy, everything is fine. Your results are Pap 2, but you're worried. Come back in six months." I then explained to her that these were normal results for me, and that I was supposed to have an appointment for these results every 12 months. But that didn't interest her.
I don't understand. Should I be worried about nuclear disorder? What exactly does that mean? The doctor couldn't tell me. I'm afraid she only wants to do the test because it makes her money.
HPV has not been tested, but I can rule it out because I am asexual.
I think that there will be a slight deviation that is not in the area where it would be considered to be ill, but perhaps at the edge of the area.
I think this is what is called “dysplasia” on the Internet:

And that’s why we want to make a test again in 6 months because this is the standard procedure for it.
Does your doctor know you’re asexual? I mean, then you can save yourself a HPV test if I don’t know if you can get it somehow differently, but that would be very rare.
In case of doubt, you can refuse the investigation. I want her to give you a reasonable reason, she should be able to do it and for herself as a doctor.
No the dysplasia would be if altered cells were there, but then I would not have a PAP 2 but at least PAP 3D
Hm, okay. Then maybe call them again and ask for a phone call hour so that the doctor can explain this to you.
That’s why I don’t understand
