What do you think of these opening hours?
These are the opening hours of a web designer who works independently in Germany and has registered a business.
He has to live off his salary, pay rent, taxes, bills, living expenses, utilities, insurance, etc. and works from home all day, and does not receive any personal customer visits, but only via telephone or video chat.
His services include website creation, search engine optimization (SEO) and WordPress repairs and he can also be found on classifieds.
What do you think about its opening hours?
Understandable or could it be available for even longer?
The business hours are basically sound and smoke.
But that’s what he’s up to as an entrepreneur, he’s allowed to lock up his store at 16:30 and put the phone on the AB. If that bothers you – find another one!
I was independent for several years in a similar way. You don’t make a sense of who called me all until 23:00, because he had hidden the computer in his drunk. And because these people knew me somewhere, I had to react immediately and free of charge. And because I’m an entrepreneur, it’s legal to cheat on me if anything doesn’t fit.
What do you value, how long it took to reduce my acquaintance by 80% and how much time the phone was put on the AB?
And another thing: The service personnel are not covered by the service price!
He can’t be reached anymore, that’s point. It has crystallized out for Him that these times are perfect and he has enough work and everything is running. He seems to know how it is. All right
So I find the times too short. He complains that customers always contact him in the evening as they come from work and he complains now that he has no customers. If he had been raised longer, he would also have more customers who report in the evening due to their work and time.
I guess he doesn’t. He’ll know why. And customers can be educated wonderfully, because they can call or mail during the specified times, they do not have to do this outside the times.
It could also be much shorter if he had his coal together earlier. It’s 40 hours. How long do you want to work in the week? A 7d/24h availability is not necessary.
Opening times are simply sound and smoke for such service providers. Customer traffic is not rated, communication is done via Mail & Co.
So what?
The rest is done in cooperation with its customers.
8 – 16.30 is a normal working day. And these are just the opening hours for customers. He himself will probably work much longer.
But he does not work from 8 to 16:30. But also no longer, but much shorter. He’ll finish after 4-5 hours a day. The specified times are for customers, yes. But aren’t they too short?
Just because he has this opening hours does not mean that he only works within these periods of time.
