I like him. Not because he would be nice or so, definitely not, but he is so complex and realistic. Just an incredibly well-designed character.

His memories justify his behavior really well. Perfect, discreet way. That he is so attached to Lily is very creepy, but obsession fits him. Wouldn’t be surprised if he had a scream for her.

He’s a racist, and he didn’t fight Voldemort until someone was affected by his actions he liked. And he didn’t care what happened to James and Harry; it was only about Lilly.

Furthermore, he was a tyrant and has mentally abused defendants. As a child, he already showed such tendencies when he, for example, attacked Ast Petunia and talked about them as a moggling.

Besides that I love Alan Rickman, I didn’t really like Snape. Then to understand afterwards, I could not say that I really understood it. (Have never read the books, so do not know what might be better explained.)

The memories were quite interesting, but he seemed very bitter all the time.

This depends on how to understand your question:

Severus Snape is one of my favorite characters in Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling has already created many interesting characters in her turn, which make the boundaries between good and evil blur a little, but Snape is definitely a parade example for it.

Humanly, I can’t stand Snape at all. He is simply a tyrant who has not seriously reflected himself until his death, and has a really toxic way to love. One can only congratulate Lily for finally drawing the tear line at the end of the fifth class. Through his memories and his remaining background history, I can understand how Snape has become such a person, but it does not justify his behaviour for me. As an adult, you should be able to process your past differently than pupils.

Hey, I don’t want Snape in the beginning, but when I saw the memories in the last part of him, everything made sense. I find out that Snape and Lily/ Lilly (don’t know how to write it now) would be a better couple than James and Lily/ Lilly.

And Snape often wanted to protect Harry and that’s what counts. He just killed Dumbledore so that Draco doesn’t have to.

Snape is actually one of the protector characters.

Best regards, Katy

Since Lilly did not stand on racists, it would probably not have been a good couple

Snape was born at the time when Harry was born is a dead man. But he changed the page after he reported Voldemort about the prophecy about Harry. From then on, he was loyal to Dumbeldore and served as a “Undercover agent”

I like Snape. I love this always slightly repetitive attitude and find it refreshing.

His memories make everything meaningful, from which you might have been somewhat irritated before.

Alan Rickman embodied him grandios. It’s a shame he’s not staying with us anymore.

I can hardly understand the hype his person. To oppose fascism is a piece of far moral responsibility. Otherwise, he is a bad teacher who treats pupils unfairly.
