What do these categories mean?

Hey, at FanFiktion.de there are categories for what kind of story it is and what other things it is.

But for some of them, I don't know exactly what that means. Maybe someone can help me.

Crossover, drabble, reading sample, songfic

Thanks

  • A crossover is when you mix two different groups or media. ZB, what if Harry Potter had a Pokemon?
  • A Drabble is a text form where the most important is that it has exactly 100 words, and that it has a point. Maybe you can compare it to a shark?
  • A sample is, well, a sample of a longer story. I don’t know what this could be in the context of Fanfiction.
  • A songfic is a story that is written to a song. Often the lyrics come forward, other times the song is more inspiration and is taken over as a title. Generally, however, this is not a fanfiction to the artist of the song, but rather it turns around something completely different.
