What do I need to repair an Amigo Hero Ripstop Plus Lite horse blanket?

Hello everyone. A friend of mine has outdoor horse blankets with a neck piece called Amigo Hero Ripstop Plus Lite. Unfortunately, the blankets have a hole in them. He wants to repair them and has used Stormsure repair glue in the past. However, he is not satisfied with the result. Does anyone have any idea what glue to use instead or how to repair this effectively? The material is ripstop. I found repair patches online that could also be used. Does anyone have any experience with which is better, glue or these patches? Thank you very much for your help.

I take my blankets away when they break.

Washing and repairing them doesn't cost much and the ceiling will be watertight again afterwards.
