What did you do after school?
Heyy, what did you do after you finished school?
Did you study, complete an apprenticeship, do a voluntary social year, or anything else, and how/when did you decide to do it? Was it the right decision (for you)?
(This is for everyone who's already out of school. Anyone who's still in school but already has a plan for afterward is still welcome to respond.)

Hey,
So right after school, I cleaned 2 months to earn a little money. Then I spent one year as au pair in Spain.
When I was back, I studied, but wasn’t the right one for me. After that, I’ve been working so far and I’ve only found out what I want to do.
But nothing before was was wasted time.
I’m glad you found out what you really want to do and thank you for the detailed answer. 😊
After school, I started my dual study as a mathematical-technical software developer. I decided to do this and, above all, the company, because I already had several contact points for it in the past. I applied for about ten months before the start of the training year and was then accepted quite quickly.
And so far it was definitely the right decision for me. The possibility to complete a training and study in three years, with one getting a salary, the study being paid and one having both the practical and the very theoretical teaching contents, is a very good combination in my eyes.
Best regards 🙂
I worked for a year as a nursing aid in a hospital in western Switzerland after having capitulated in the gymnasium after 2 years. I learned French this year better than in 6 years at school. Moreover, it was one of the best years of my life, because people in France are simply much more relaxed and enjoy life. I was also in a beautiful region at the end of the world and met many new friends. You keep hearing that German Swiss and Romands do not come together. That was absolutely not the case in my case, I was immediately accepted. After this year I went back with a bloody heart and began training as a nurse. At the time, I thought to transfer my place of residence to Western Switzerland after training, but then it was different….
Study with Master
At first I didn’t know what I wanted to study. I decided to go for law and told my German teacher. She made a Salto back and ordered my parents. She said if someone was inappropriate for this study, then I. Right.
I then chose psychology. My father’s will, who thought all the psychologists were stupid. But I’ve prevailed. My mother would have seen me, I think, at the Higher Trade School. But for that I had no inclination and would be almost as incapable for it as with Jura.
Education made, didn’t think about it big
After school made training. I didn’t have another option. There was no FSJ yet. I then worked for a few years in the profession, then got children and later worked in another profession.
It was fun.
Hey 🤗
I’m going to do a training after school, it’s already clear. And then I might want to study, but that can change again.
I started my studies. I don’t know why I decided. Somehow rs has always been fixed. 🤷🏽
I’m going to Occupational Abitur (BG) after the half year!
As a performance course for environmental technology.
After the 10th grade an apprenticeship, then Abi and later studies.
Learning a profession. And yes, it was definitely not a mistake, even if I am no longer active in the profession.
I studied. I’ve known for a long time before my Abi that I want to study. But what exactly I want to study, I decided to do so only towards the end of my abyss
First trained, then studied.
Education and then directly job started
Law studies, 1st and 2nd state exams, now judges.
Office Business Administration and Music School.
I studied.
Craftsmanship, after which Fachschule
Hello,
I did not study after school, but did a school education with examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. It was the right decision for me.
