Actually, there's hardly any influence.

The only thing they've done was air clarification.

The payload was too low for bombers or the like.

However, much propaganda, see Manfred von Richthofen and after his death goebells

Through observation aircraft, the fire of its own artillery could be better guided and troops movements and rewarding targets could be identified. Enemy attacks could be detected earlier.
