What creatures are you afraid of?

I have to create a terrifying creature for a book. What are you afraid of? Be it an animal, a mystical creature, or something else? It could even be creatures that don't exist. Things from movies and TV shows, PC games. For example, I don't like zombies. The human appearance of the undead and their inhuman behavior is, in my opinion, a scary combination. I also don't like spiders at all. I hope for some answers.

I find the shape of the mountain monk (or master hammering guy) relatively creepy. A person who works out normal tasks on the day and leads a human life, but turns into a horse with a terrible long neck (so it looks incorrectly proportioned) and dull, empty eyes, and can become invisible. In addition, they say that their breath can become so poisonous that he could kill 12 people at the same time when they got on his nerves.

I don’t know, somehow the idea of a completely human being is that from its own will and with full mind can become a deadly and very clever (experienced) beast and that without going to extinct clichés is creepy.

In addition, he is characteristically unpredictable, because he helps one in the legends and others, he is almost witty and blind to mordlust.

Riesnwürmer. When they put eggs in your ears at night and in your head, and then their boys slip…. That just falls to me like that or just giant spiders, a poisonous fog that moves and the more it is the bigger it becomes. VG

Spiders of any kind.

This is my general question where is the flame thrower?!

(The animals can’t even shave their legs. xD)

Furthermore, snakes and especially the wort snakes act for scary factor. Since they are real big and powerful compared to their small poison relatives.

small, fast, lethal, quiet … in your book would only have to move a bit fast and so described that it has a small stab or bite that responded quickly.

it could react to something that can be difficult to influence yourself. e.g. swallow, feeling, body warmth, odour

Rather a question of properties than appearance.

Excluding death:
Worms that strangle you and even slings down alive. Even Warane eats their victims when they live.
Also being absorbed by mucus marrows is disgusting.

Great violence:
Bears that tear their victims

Uncanny opponents:
… of whom you know they’re close, but they don’t see.

I find such faceless beings extremely creepy so simplifies virtually a person with head but without eyes, nose, lips, ears. The Slenderman would be an example.
