As a buyer, I had only good experiences.
As a seller, I don't use it, because I don't want the buyer to recover his money for some kind of idiotic reasons.
I sold a flawless phone once. The buyer objected to buyer protection AND did not send it back. So you can do it if you have something but don't want to pay. PayPal booked the money back and didn't let you talk. Only after I threatened the buyer with filing, did he give me the money.

Very good experience made
For Legal Paypal users are a very good backup when buying.
Injustice Paypal users – eg Minors – don't get protection, they're locked up and they can forget the money.
The use of Paypal is basically only allowed from 18J – without exception!
So far only good experiences, never had any problems.
