What are examples of local optima in humans?
For those of you who don't know what local optima are (excuse my layman's German):
Local optima are organs or other structures that have evolved but are imperfect and, so to speak, have gone the wrong way. We can illustrate this using the metaphor of a hilly landscape. There is a certain upper limit (the height of the hills that cannot be exceeded). Furthermore, some hills are higher than others.
A local optimum occurs when one organism in one area is on a particular hill, while another is higher. The organism will likely never "move" to the other hill, because the generations between hill one and hill two would first have to "climb" through many valleys.
The (only) example I know of is that of the human eye. This works less well than an octopus's, but of course, the human eye wouldn't evolve into an octopus's over the generations, since the "journey" would involve many steps, and the intergenerational generations might be blind.
What local optima also exists in the human body?
Which animals, etc. do this better?
Ps: Please let me know if I messed up the definition or can improve it in any way.
I would be very happy if you would answer me!

The control bleeding does not exist in cats. Ovulation takes place only through penetration and neck bite, and is not just cyclic.
An evolution in this direction is hardly conceivable, because the men don't get it so well with the neck bite.
Just because something doesn't work as they or we are expecting it because we evaluate nature according to our own ideas, it doesn't mean that nature works as we believe it.
They wanted to take my mother's mandling away and my father's appendix, because the doctors have claimed this his useless junk. But today said that it wasn't true.
I think we don't have a shimmer, how complete px is our nature.
a little more revered and that would be productive.

Hmmm, the human main hair protects the head from excessive heat loss, but grows to an annoying length.
The plural of Optimum is, however, Optima.
Thanks for the correction!
The fun center in the middle of the sewer was not your smartest option
Why? Infections happen when people act wrong. For example, the sham hairs according to biology prevent the risk of infection. In it, researchers have discovered entire mircobiomes that are useful.
can nature be something that we constantly disregard or break the laws of nature?
