Actually, many couples had long financial advantages of it.

No, they didn’t.

III/V has no other income tax burden than IV/IV, only the time of maturity is shifted.

The advantage arises in the case of different home incomes due to spouse splitting, not the tax class.

Nothing happens yet!

The following is agreed in the coalition agreement of the Federal Government (page 115).

“We want to further develop family taxation in such a way that partnership responsibility and economic independence are strengthened with regard to all family forms. In the course of an improved digital interaction between taxable persons and financial administration, we will transfer the combination of tax classes III and V into the tax class IV factor procedure, which is then easy and unbureaucratic and creates more fairness. ‘

It is therefore intended to abolish the tax class 3/5, when (and above all if) that will not be known. I suggest that a FDP person will never win through this. Even if there is something else to be heard from the ministry.

Actually, many couples had long financial advantages of it.

Yes, this leads to a lower net annually. At the end, however, the tax class does not say anything about the tax burden, because it is only determined by the tax return. Only the level of monthly deducted wage tax changes.
