Who intentionally does not put his data in a cloud?

I also deliberately place it(!) In a cloud.

Despite all security measures, cloud doesn’t seem to be safe yet!

Yes, they are safe. There is no documented case that data was lost in the relevant cloud services.

There are only zig cases where users are no longer able to access their data. (This is an important difference!)

A cloud is also just someone else’s computer.
And this someone also determines who gets access to the data.

So: Always make nice backups according to the 3-2-1 rule and use the Cryptomator as much as possible (Boxcryptor is dead!).

– And?
Do you want to confirm that you didn’t understand my statement?
That would have succeeded. 🤷

I’m just thinking about what’s going on in Clouds and the like and not.

Applicants see for example hundreds of people there make a few more also no subchied.

Just as inconceivable images and hundreds of other things, where it can simply be no matter who sees it or not.

Hi.

I personally consider a backup of encrypted data in GoogleDrive, iCloud, etc. to be significantly safer than my NAS at home.

Business hardware in the data center is just something other than a small Synology home.

Just my 2 cents

Jain. I don’t use a provider’s cloud, but host my own Nextcloud. And there are not all the data in there by far.

If I want to get my data from the road, I could simply access the home network via VPN and access the NAS

Especially with the current FritzOS and Wireguard this is just as never. 👍
This has also taken care of port releases in the router for me.

Well, I also use Wireguard (and OpenVPN), but by OPNsense – but I am not a 08/15 consumer :^)

Otherwise I can only agree with you, that is relatively easy to set up

I will not place my data in a cloud. Never had a need for it.

Dultus, UserMod Light

As a backup – much more pleasant than a hard disk.
