Who is Johnny B. Goode?

Everyone probably knows "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry. But Peter Tosh also has a song with the same title. Sophia George released a song called "Murder Johnny B. Good."

Who is Johnny B. Good(e), that there are songs with his name in various genres?

They say that it is less a certain name than a kind of symbolic expression to a Johnny: “be good” – which means as much as “be good”.

‘Johnny B.Goode’ could have been different. Basically, it is the story that ‘Hank19’ has already described.

Berry had already taken many elements of rock’n’roll at this time (1958) (instrumentation, rhythm). With “Johnny B. Goode”, he introduced another important requisite: the ego. You could say that the song is the ‘Ziggy Stardust’ of the 50s. ^^

“Johnny B. Goode” by Chuck Berry.

It is not unlikely that he sings about himself when you remember the text.

Johnny B. Goode, was a poor boy who was not often at school, but he could play guitar like a bell.

He sat with the engineers, near the railway line in the shade, where he, to the rhythm that the locomotives made, fed his guitar, which he usually, in a sleek jute bag, with himself.

The usual teaching concept is that the figure autobiographically
for Chuck Berry is (Goode Avenue). That would explain the references.
