Does anyone have any useful information about the Shimano E6100 bike monitor?

My bike monitor, Shimano E6100, has become completely discharged due to careless storage and can no longer be recharged, even after a longer charging time on the device.

A newly purchased E6100 works perfectly! But at a purchase price of €120, I'd like to save the old one.

Who has a useful tip for me?

Regards, Paul.

Hello,

like all these displays, it has an internal battery that is actually charged via the main battery. If the main battery is full and the charge ends also the charge of the display battery. As far as this is so bad – the display battery helps to install a new battery. The box must be opened first. it looks like two inbus screws on the back.

Maybe you can recharge this on the laptop via a USB OTG cable. My display at Bosch was also empty.

Unfortunately, there are no spare parts for this. This makes repair impossible.

Open it and make a new battery. Search on the Internet as it starts. (you get it all up)

If it’s broken, you can at least try it.

Would ask for such a cell phone repair shop, maybe they can install a reasonably fitting new battery.

I connect to Hoegaard, that’s exactly what these cell phone clinics can do. However, this will certainly cost at least 20 (all for opening) and up to 70 € (with success). In any case, ask again what it might cost.
