Who gets the money if a package is lost?

In a private shipment on eBay classifieds, the buyer paid via PayPal Friends. Shipping is with a tracking number and is insured. Now the package is lost at Hermes and cannot be traced. Who gets the money now? The seller or the buyer. As the seller, I'm also at fault. I no longer have the item, and I packaged and shipped it properly. With a receipt.

The sender of the package has the contract with Hermes and gets the money.

Internally, he must compensate the buyer.

As a salesman, I am also damaged, I have no more goods and I have properly packed and sent it. With document

When you sell, you have the goal of getting rid of something, you can expect that you don’t keep the article, right?

If you have already given the buyer a refund, then keep the amount. If you have not given the buyer a refund, send the amount.

The one who doesn’t have the buyer’s money gets the amount.

You pay the purchaser the sales price back and pay the money from Hermes as compensation for the lost package.

The buyer gets the money, why do bullshit if the seller would get money again..🤷🏼 A lot of pleasure, a refund at Hermes is like a 6 in the lottery..
