When you write vacations from X to Y, X and Y are also holiday days.

But: The 6.1. is a holiday in some federal states. And for a holiday you don’t have to sacrifice a holiday day in most jobs without a shift system etc. Besides, it can be special about Christmas. (also operational) regulations specify how the 24th and 31st of the holiday scheme must count as a holiday or be sacrificed for both together only 1 holiday day.

If you ask for a holiday?

e.g. from 23.12 to 6.1, does the 6.1 also count as a holiday day?

If there is no legal holiday and no (Saturday or) Sunday is: Yes.

Every working day you don’t go to work. So if you are still at home on Monday 06.01.25, a holiday day is required for this.

I have to go to the vocational school, but that has so first help day or so and therefore I have to go to the company.

However, if I’m already talking to my boss that I can take vacation, I just have time pressure because of bus and I need to get to work quickly to write the holiday ticket so I can still get the next bus. Didn’t want to make a mistake, not that I suddenly had to cross at 6.1 to work a because it was only BIS to 6.1

If you still have the 06.01 on holiday, this day is still free.

Yeah, the 6th counts there. Unless it’s a holiday.
