Whether the animal recovers depends on what it has. I found a bumblebee and put her in the garden where the floor was wet. When she felt wetness, she became more lively and drank. And after that, she was gone.

I’d still get her out and make her feed and water available. I have cats, so I’d put a little cat food or fruit on her nose.

depends of course on how hurt the animal is, but do not kill it

Hornets are 3 to 4 weeks old in summer.
Then they die of age weakness.
Just let them sit or transport them out when they bother you.
Rescue measures are useless.
