There is no “universal response”.

This depends on the type, location and, of course, primarily on the angle(s) of the scoliosis.

So, when one could not yet carry out the usual screw connections (=spondylodesen), there were so extreme tendencies that the children mostly affected by it had more than 90 degrees, therefore were often paralyzed and if the lungs were suffocated or died of pneumonia. Fortunately, this has been a long time and is much more likely to operate today so that no one has to die about it.

I had an inclination of 47 degrees before my surgery and then 3 degrees in the other direction and was approx. 3~4 cm larger.
