Budgie flew out of cage during panic flight?

Hello, my dears

I'm so desperate right now I could cry.

I've had two new budgies since Tuesday, and I already feel like I've been doing everything wrong. They're lovely, extremely social, and playful animals who quickly took to the hand with millet.

But the more time I try to spend with the birds, the more I feel they withdraw. Now the problem arises: I leave the cage door open day and night. Now my new budgie is flying out of the cage in a panic, and all the birds are frozen with fear.

I tried to talk him into it and lure him back into the cage with millet, but now he just flies away in hysterics. I'm afraid this panic attack will destroy all his trust. His friend is just as paralyzed with fear and doesn't dare go near the millet or me.

What can I do to help the animals regain their trust? The worst part is: tomorrow I have to take another animal from the flock to the vet, and I'm afraid that catching that one member will leave them completely disturbed and scared.

My poor budgies :/ Will they recover from the shock? How can I help them? Will my panicky budgie find his way back into the cage on his own? Are there any tips for building trust?

I'm probably more disturbed than the animals right now :/ and we were on such a good path!

The most important thing is to react to how the bird behaves. If he clearly shows fear, it means withdrawing, leaving alone, not coming near.

The birds are not stupid. They can survive and take care of themselves. Says he can fly back to the cage himself and he does that by himself. You don’t have to help him.

The cage door should be closed at night.

That a bird gets panic, happens and isn’t bad right away. The main thing is that you react correctly and move back instead of pushing it.

You should leave the waves alone.

Your cage location and the interior of the room are definitely not optimally selected.

You should improve as soon as possible.

In the evening you can gently catch the waves in the room with the light – out!

That’s not a problem.

You should definitely acquire a solid knowledge of wave attitude.

It’s best from the old wave literature.

Your expression shows me that you are currently using sources that are unsuitable for it.

In particular, you should keep away from animal protection-loaded sources and especially from general wave-sittich forums.

Because here the stupidity of the scribes drives enormous flowers.

Best regards

…. For example, the incorrect use of the term “smooth”.

In captivity, wave-sittiches never show boar behavior. These are only sources that don’t really understand something about the waves.

Try to leave them alone, which they calm down again, and in the cage are still wavy as far as I have understood, which will be determined when he feels safe to fly back to the others, but for the first time he keeps distance from you.

Leave the room and leave the birds alone.

I was told today that you should leave them alone for about 1 week.
