Which ticket and price level do I need to buy?
Hey, my mom doesn't have a Deutschland Ticket, and we'd like to travel around Germany a bit. However, we don't know what kind of ticket we should buy each time. The mom app shows different price levels, like A, B, C, and D. But we don't know when each price level is valid.
Can anyone help us?
These are price levels of the VRR.
Price level A applies to trips within a city (and in part also to adjacent districts of other cities), price level B for trips to neighboring cities, C and D for longer routes in the VRR area.
The VRR room covers the area between Mönchengladbach and Dortmund. For trips beyond (e.g. to Münster or Cologne), you can’t start with tickets from these price levels.
It’s going to be expensive.

Check it out.
Those who drive from A to B often move outside traffic links. Then it is worth booking the Dticket for August, then immediately cancel the subscription. EUR 49.
If you only want to take a walk with local transport, you can:
a) Cross-through country ticket, applies throughout Germany, but usually not in buses, costs EUR 44 for the first person and EUR 8 for the second to fifth person.
(b) The ticket “Schöner Tag NRW” for 1 person costs EUR 34.80 and 5 persons EUR 52.50 and applies throughout North Rhine-Westphalia in all buses and trains of local transport.
The 49-EUR-Germany ticket is therefore worth a walk only on two days.
