That’s just the great thing about the MacBooks that they don’t let down from performance, keep forever and work reliably even after many years.
If you want to have a new one, buy it, but it is certainly not necessary.
Your M2 MacBook Air from 2022 is still very new.
Your planned MacBook has only one generation of newer chips where an upgrade is not worth it.
Only if you need the 15″ display will an upgrade/change be worthwhile.
