Which cat food?

Does anyone know of high-quality, or in other words, healthier, cat food? Unfortunately, I'm reading that many varieties in retail stores aren't supposed to be as healthy.

Hallo

Carny Adult Rind, Huhn: Rind, Huhn & Entenherzen: Rind (37%, Lunge, Herz, Fleisch, Euter, Niere), Hühnerleber (20%), Entenherzen (8%), Calciumcarbonat, Natriumchlorid

Leonardo Geflügel Adult: Fleisch und tierische Nebenerzeugnisse: 65% Geflügel und Geflügelfleischbrühe 34%, Mineralstoffe 1%. Ernährungsphysiologische Stoffe pro kg: Vitamin A 3.000 I.E., Vitamin D3 200 I.E., Spurenelemente: Zink 20mg, Mangan 2mg, Selen 0,03mg, Jod 0,2 mg, Eisen 50 mg.

  1. Catz Finefood
  2. MAC`s
  3. O`Canis
  4. ANIfit
  5. Bozita
  6. Grau
  7. Schmusy Nature
  8. Zoolove (Ergänzungsfutter)
  9. Wild Freedom
  10. Leonadro
  11. Premiere Meat
  12. Real Nature Wilderness
  13. MjamMjam
  14. Miamor feine Beute
  15. Calimba
  16. GranataPet

  1. Cosma Snacks
  2. Miamor Snacks
  3. Platinum Meat Crisp verschiedene Sorten
  4. Dreamies verschiedene Sorten
  5. Catz Finefood Meatz in verschiedenen Sorten
  6. Felix Play Tubes verschiedene Sorten
  7. Felix Mini-Filetti Mixpaket mit Huhn, Ente, Rind
  8. ZooRoyal Minkas NaTuerkost Mini Streifen Ente 50g
  9. ZooRoyal Minkas NaTuerkost Mini Streifen Huhn 50g
  10. JR Farm Mehlwürmer in der Dose 70 g
  11. Trockenfleisch
  12. getrocknete Fische
  13. Dokas Hühnerherze

Also im Prinzip gibt es bei uns „All you can eat“ !

i.d.R can be considered without any cat food (further)- Recommend

• Wet feed

• at least 60% tend to be 70% meat

• free of cereals or their additives, such as corn or wheat

• sugar-free or sugar-free

• 1000mg taurine or more

• clear and concrete description of the composition

are >

In supermarkets like REWE and Edeka but also in Müller as well as other drugstore markets like Rossmann there is often no good food – at least with me in the region.

For example, we have a large Edeka which, in addition to the well-known brands, offers well & cheap, Sheba , Whiskas only Wilder Land.

There are no other reasonably reasonable brands there.

In most cases, for half-way sensible feed, it is necessary to either trade > Fressnapf, Dehner or online via

Order Zooplus.

Good food brands I would recommend

• Catz Finefood

• MAC ́S

or

• Mjammjam

We have Royal Canin. It’s not so inexpensive, but there are always offers online. Our cat only eats that.

We’ve got something like that from Dehner. This has 80% meat and is actually good for the cat compared to others.

Dehner is not a good food, because there is absolutely no 80% meat!

It is declared:

Meat and animal by-products (45% poultry), minerals, 10.8% raw protein, 6.7% raw fat, 0.4% raw fibre, 1.9% raw ash, 80% moisture, 0.2% calcium, 0.15% phosphorus

Food physiological additives:

Vitamin D3 = 200 I.E./kg, vitamin E (as all rac-alfa tocoppherol acetate) = 30 mg/kg, taurine = 1,500 mg/kg, zinc (as zinc sulfate, monohydrate) = 15 mg/kg, manganese (as manganese (II) sulfate, monohydrate) = 3 mg/kg, iodine (as calcium iodide, water-free) = 0.75 mg/kg

What it means:

Meat/animal by-products: On the one hand there are good animal by-products, such as liver, heart, stomach, kidney or lung. Lunge has similar nutrient values as Liz and also rich in taurine. Lunge is voluminous, low-fat and rich in protein. Euter is an energy bomb. Much fat and through the milk ducts much calcium Very good for weak and lean animals. Good manufacturers write in the content information e.g. meat, lung, liver, pansen. However, manufacturers who only declare meat and animal by-products, rather than name these high-quality by-products, are not good food producers. The term “muscle meat” stands for real meat. These include muscle tissue, blood vessels, fat, muscles and tendons.

And on the other hand, there are bad, slaughtered waste, such as hooves, feathers, snails or claws and so on.

Minerals: Which one? Artificial minerals without any indication of quantities – good food quality does not need artificial minerals – in good meat all minerals are already included the Mother Nature has provided!

Taurin: It was a long time to assume that Cats 400 milligrams per kilogram of cat food are sufficient. However, by the latest intensive feed research, the required value has now been increased to 2500 mg. One should think that the complete feed is provided with sufficient taurine, but as it is usually the minimum quantity, there can also be a shortage here. Therefore, at least 30 to 40 mg of taurine per day should be at least 30 to 40 mg of taurine per extruded feed (heated under water vapor) and for canned food at least 60 to 80 mg of taurine per day.

Pay attention to a clear declaration of content, such as cereal,/ gluten, and sugar-free cat food with min. 65% meat content.
There are many different varieties that are good, here some examples:

  • Anifi
  • Catz Finefood
  • Mjam
  • Lucky Kitty wet food
  • GranataPet cat food
  • Grey
  • Lucky Lou
  • Green Petfood FairCat

These are only a few examples now, but you get such foods less in the supermarket, for which you usually have to look at the big animal needs.

For example, Zoo Royal monoprotein is available for purchase /rewe.This is free from chalk, sugar free and has 60 percent meat content. This is of course more expensive for the price.Futter with a higher proportion of meat is of course more expensive. You get in the zoo markets, but often this is not always better and totally overpriced. All that is below 60percent I wouldn’t feed, so also Whiskas and Felix, where also badly buys sugar and Gereide is in.At dm or Rossmann I have already found 60 percent good food.
