What is difficult and what is not, is in the eye of the viewer.

At the university, I definitely dealt with differential equations. It took a whole semester. The smaller topics in my other two math semesters were significantly more compact. But is that why they were easier? Ask three of my former fellow students and you will receive three answers.

I believe that I do not do any of the higher calculation methods. but I can talk a little bit about it…

Fourier Transformations and “Greens Function” spontaneously fall into my mind, which is used to solve differential equations.
