Which bedding for Syrian hamsters?

What kind of bedding can you use for Syrian hamsters so they can dig nice burrows that won't collapse? The regular bedding doesn't seem to work for mine. I've piled it up 30cm high, but when she digs, everything collapses on top of her. Is there a better bedding than sawdust? It can be a bit more expensive, too.
Thanks.

The easiest thing would be if you mix hay under it. It can be layers, that is very stable.

In Switzerland, there are very good, large flocculent litter in large quantities. That’s great. If you do, you can try it.

Otherwise, in general, one litter for horses, which is very low in dust and usually has large flakes that keep better.

I would recommend that you mix hay under it to not change everything and simply use the new litter as normal as the previous litter. That would certainly save your little ones a lot of stress.

Equipower is my means of choice. Can also layer hay in between. It even works with the buddelwütigen racing mice.

Hempstreu is recommended. The hamster can build stable courses and feels comfortable.
