Hello,

This song I like most from your choice. He sounds so nostalgic as if one had lived at this time.

My parents like the song very much. I think I’ve seen the band live as a kid, but you’ll appreciate it later.

LG!

But Procol Harum also had some other really beautiful songs. I only remember “Grand Hotel” or “A Salty Dog”.

I like this as well. It has something magical of the mood for me, and beautiful melody. Interesting in this song I find that many people have already believed in the first cycles, that would be “je ́taime”

Since the song was before my time, and he wasn’t part of the song repertoire of my parents and apparently never played it on the radio when I just heard, I only met him at about 16, and from there he was very happy.

Grinsekater1812

I can’t actually cross this survey, you know that. Why I’ve chosen Norman Greenbaum… as you’ve come to “Cannad Ham” and not to “Spirits In The Sky”. Not that the song is bad…just know him the least. ^^

All right.

I don’t agree that music was better then. Even then there was a lot of rubbish and only the charts have become worse since then, but music as a whole is even better and more diverse.

I also believe that there are always talented and good musicians. You just have to look for them and discover them. But, of course, it’s cult, and people see it, “that there will never be anything like that.”

It can be, but it doesn’t mean anything bad if there are no more legendary artists. Personal cult has his macks.

From the list in any case “a whiter Shade of Pale”. I just like that thing.

closely followed by Procol Harum. The other songs aren’t like me. Except for “Cecilia”, it’s still going.

Oh, yeah, I saw a biography about The Who. They spoke about the musical genius of Pete Townsend’s compositions.

The Who.

Great song, incredibly “progressive” for the time.

The song never gets old and loses nothing of its power.

Then the dear CECILIA came to me, in her shadow follows her Procol Harum.

“A Whiter Shade of Pale” is beautiful, but above all because it is strong similarities with Bachs Air from Suite D major has.

I only thought about “Spirit in the Sly” at Norman and then I read something else. (I didn’t even know that he made other songs. :

Then Dave, Dee……. (Find it very well.

I’ll give you another one on the way: “Hollies – The day that curley Billy shout down grazy Sam McGee”.

That just happened to me.

DanteFox773

I’m fluctuating between The Who and Procol Harum.

Both, in their way incredible “smasher”.

Finally, give The Who the favor, since the song, as already noticed, sounds very timeless, fresh and very original, to this day…without any signs of wear.

“A Whiter.” is, at all kindness, but something in time context is caught…and there are times when I can never hear it… unlike “My Generation”…🎸😎

I like the ones best; perhaps because I can hear quiet music actually IMMER, “living” me also goes on the lizards.

but is closely followed by the who and the really cute of turtles and ddbm&t. “cecilia” for me is one of the “o nääääh”s by simon+garfunkel, “tired…” not one of my favorites of the kinks. I like this (self written) here:

“the boxer” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTb4xqaeM_E

sunny day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYIl6n_SRCI

waterloo sunset https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_MqfF0WBsU

well respected man https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDGVMoeAOoI

you really got me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTTsY-oz6Go .

again and again beautiful and relaxing for me and my knowledge mostly well known: DONOVAN

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHNDSid77WY&list=OLAK5uy_nqZFlgbattCud9T1E1DZQACuPVyA9yrwY

jennifer juniper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTvv-e7xyNc

yogurt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzIsHs2nLBM

catch the wind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTvv-e7xyNc … I can’t stop…

and can you call cohen ́s “suzanne” as “popsong”? more than his others anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svitEEpI07E

and without the following, the world for me would also be poorer:

“mandala” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTb4xqaeM_E

“when i was young” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur30bn_3G58

“where do you go to my lovely” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqgCnjJVfSg

“time in a bottle” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h1davKgBYM

“year of the cat” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UuD3wUcRUY

“on the border” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H94iJYeWfH8

“lucky man” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qs8F1a04rHY

textually not completely without, but at that time it was funny and I (mea culpa+ ashamed me for it) still have a little bit of fun: “bobby brown” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXi_zoWr4

if it counts when only one of the two writers was band member: “white room” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VR90gQ-SIaY

(seufz) musically it was a soooo rich time!

yes- sure I know that too:-D. although I liked the kinks as teen, but never had a plate of them- the only source at that time was the radio (beatclub I didn’t look at, then ran, I think, then eh papas sportschau ((g)))))); and then they were a whole time of santana, doors, led zep, wader. by this I have discovered more unknown songs from them only now in old and like them very, not least because of their often meaningful lyrics.
