Which case after “homage”?

I had learned that the verb “huldigen” is always followed by the dative case.

More often, however, I stumble across phrases like “I pay homage to you,” in the accusative case.

Is this just a malformation that has become widespread or has there now been an adaptation so that the accusative can also be used?

The tripod after “houlding” is obligatory and exclusive. As often as the battery may encounter you as a connection at this point – it remains an unauthorized development at this point.

This is stupid German, just how to call something qualitative without mentioning the relation.

Who is he insulting? Not yet You! You have already made it clear by question and other text that you are wondering about “holy + Akk.” So why are you upset?

“I beg you” – I have never heard that before and is simply wrong.

Who am I? (Who am I submitting? To whom do I swear loyalty?)
