Very happy Jazzrock/Fusion with sound records (Xylophon, Marimba, Vibraphon), just like the band PIERRE MOERLEN’S GONG keeps hearing.

Here is an extremely varied instrumental number of this band. Despite its shortness of just 3 1/2 minutes, it offers a huge range of musical topics. The melodies just sprinkle there!

An excellent, natural! Are you seriously expecting something else? *Big grin*

But I know, of course, how you mean the question – and that is the answer that I listen to the most beloved classical (especially instrumental classical) and film music. Pop, Rock, Jazz, Reggae, Blues etc also go – only Rap and Techno are not mine.

In film music I like John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Rachel Portman, Debbie Wiseman, Alan Silvestri, James Horner … In classical music, especially Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Dvorak, Smetana or Gershwin.

I hear a lot of Southern Gothic, Bluegrass, Dark Folk, Steampunk and similar.

Something like Brothers Bright, Poor Mans Poison, Barns Courtney, Mumford & Sons etc.

I also like to hear German Rap / Hip Hop. Like Alligatoah or Casper.

All in all, the term “polyJAMorous” somehow fits best with me. I listen to everything and my playlists are usually a wild mix.

I am hearing more folk metal and melodic death metal. At Folk-Metal I can recommend the following bands:

  • Partial Nanowar of Steel
  • Vanaheim
  • corpiklaani
  • Bloodywood
  • Orders Ogan

The following bands for Melodic Death:

  • amaranthe
  • Rage of Light
  • Avatar
  • Ghost

I am hearing them all more, besides the dozens of other bands of metal and rock.

I’m flexible. With the exception of German percussion music or punk, I listen to a lot. Older progressive rock music. Here is an example:
