Just no.

These are p s y c h i s c h e diseases. They’re playing in their head. A low weight is just a symptom. And no matter how much you care: I know you and you are 100% sick. I’m not a doctor, but I can tell you that. And your therapist should look for another job. That’s bullshit. Next time he says come back when you’re less afraid or what?

As previously said on the same question:

For a eating disorder, the BMI is secondary. The attitude to food and to the body and how to behave in terms of food is significant.

You can weigh 100 kilos and be mad or weigh 30 kilos and be mad. It is only simple to assign people to the optics of a disease, but whether one exists and if yes, which depends on the symptoms.

If your therapist has so little idea of the subject, change it or avoid this matter.

This is wrong in my knowledge because it is a purely psychological thing and is independent of the actual weight/BMI. Of course, it is not always physically dangerous, but to feel compulsion cannot eat or eat, can be present at any weight. However, this is not a classic anorexia or bulimia and is generally taken less seriously, but is ultimately the same. It’s funny that a therapist claims that.

Hello!

Just as it is not possible to recognize an alcoholic by the amount of alcohol he drinks, it is also not possible to recognize at BMI whether someone has an eating disorder.

There is a view that you could take these values, although they were originally intended for 14+.

And another one who thinks you should calculate body fat.
