What differences and similarities were there between the living space policy of the Nazi regime and that of fascist Italy at the time (spazio vitale)?

The big difference was that Nazi Germany saw its supposedly necessary “living space” exclusively in the east, while fascist Italy sought its “Spazio vitale” in the Mediterranean and East Africa. In 1911, Italy declared war to Turkey in order to seize the Turkish provinces of Cyrenaika and Tripolitania (today Libya). The local residents should be eliminated, which was mainly accomplished with death marches in the desert to create space for Italian settlers. In Cyrenaika about a quarter of the population was murdered for this purpose. The Italian colonies Eritrea and Somalia were also part of the “Africa orientale italiana” which, after the Italian war of extermination against Ethiopia in 1936, were combined with this country. Also there the population was decimated to create space for Italian settlers. In Ethiopia, about ten percent of the population were murdered with mass shooting and poison gas. After the war against Turkey, Italy acquired the islands of the Dodecanese and declared itself an Italian settlement area. In the secret agreement of London (April 1915), Italy has also been promised by the Entente-Mächten raw material-rich areas on the south coast of Turkey, as well as the majority of Dalmatia on the east coast of the Adriatic and the majority of Tyrol as a reward for entry to the First World War. After the war, the Entente-Mächte no longer wanted to know about this promise, but these areas remained a goal of the fascist expansion policy. Albania was occupied by Italy in 1939 and declared an Italian Protectorate. In October 1940, Italy declared the war in order to embed parts of Greece to the Protectorate Albania and to acquire Greek islands. I’m lucky that didn’t happen. Jointness was the brutal approach to these settlement plans, and only the targeted areas were different, which prevented a dispute.
