More problematic, however, are the injuries that can arise.

I have already seen in the volunteer rescue service that half the chin had ground on the asphalt, truncated the nose, had a plate point of five centimeters diameter in the area between forehead and temple….

Of course, this depends on the road surface as well as on the speed.

A supposedly safe helmet is also dangerous if it has no reasonable chin protection.
