Which quads do you recommend and which do you advise against?
Hello folks
I want to buy a quad this summer. I'm looking for a quad that's suitable for relatively tall people. I'm 1.97m tall.
It should be a quad with plenty of spare parts available, as well as enough tuning parts. It should also have a robust engine that can handle the occasional long ride (on the road, at higher speeds) without any problems. I'd like to be able to handle both off-road and on-road.
My budget goes up to 8,000β¬.
I thank everyone who can give me a helpful answer here. π
Hello,
there is not one quad that is well on the ground as well as on the road. Most quads/ATVs are designed for the terrain.
Due to the high center of gravity, the relatively narrow track, the cleat tires and the long spring paths, an insert on the road is always connected with large marks. If you want to be on the road, you should optimize a quad. SuperMoto models are already adapted for the road. However, this makes it possible to use in the terrain only to a limited extent.
Long rides and high speeds are more for motorcycles.
Quads have a very limited radius of action. The tank volume does not allow much.
If you want to drive overland, you should not choose to be too small. Otherwise, the engine is always at the limit. Therefore, a motorization of about 500 ccm would be the minimum.
A SMC Canyon 520 RR offers a reasonable quality and good motorization. It is equipped with a Subaru engine tested for many years. 500 ccm and just under 50 hp ensure good driving performance. The engine is relatively economical. The quad is offered in various variants, for the road or the terrain.
I am 190 cm tall myself and fit very well on the quad.

With such a special question, I would go to a specialist forum, for example here:

For me personally this would be a quad nix, I think that connect the disadvantages of the car with those of the motorcycle.
Thanks anyway
