Of course those with the mirror egg. Wherever I was in the world, I found it good to see the yellow circle.

Today’s painting is as usual as with all other airlines. But it was the wish of the passengers, because LH had once made a survey.

And in the past, it was always stated in the company’s principles: “The wishes of our customers are first. They are the benchmark of our actions.”

Well, Tempi passati.

A question of habit.

In the beginning I found the new paintwork haesslich. In the meantime, many LH aircraft have already been repainted and you want it.

As with all: if a company changes the corporate design after over 30 years and adapts to the current time, it is often found to be devastating and uninhabited at the beginning.

The retro version is unfortunately not implemented consistently https://www.airliners.net/photo/Lufthansa/Boeing-747-830/5229133/L If you do not want polished aluminum (for reasons of corrosion protection and ease of care), you could have taken at least one aluminium protective lacquer instead of gray.

The yellow mirror egg is already missing today, also from the aircraft crews, as I hear from colleagues again and again. The Chief Executive Officer Carsten Spohr has taken his egotrip here, as usual. You just have to make sure that you put your scent mark, which is still perceptible if you are no longer in the job.

What is more, the identification of the aircraft is no longer attached to the side wheel. You see two letters at the top of the river, the blue river is nix. So the crews have more problems finding the right plane.

I find the lower one better because it looks a little more elegant/new

So I prefer the new one. It looks like “clean”. I can’t find a German word for that.

Yes exactly, design-maessig is the second better, but still I don’t like it.
