  • Control class 1: single
  • Tax class 2: single person
  • Tax class 3: married, spouse tax class 5
  • Tax class 4: Standard case for married persons
  • Tax class 5: married, spouse tax class 3
  • Tax class 6: Every side job of not minijob is 6

In addition, the tax class 4 has a factor which has a more accurate distribution of the tax burden depending on the wage

Your parents have nothing to do with your payroll. You are not married or have a child and are therefore single, i.e. tax class 1 🙂
