Personally, I think that in 2024, no iPhone below the iPhone 11 Pro will be worth it.
I think the 11 is too old. Anything above that is fine, and I think you should go for a Pro model.

I agree. And definitely not the current iPhone SE, the camera is the same ancient as in iPhone 8, just like the design with touch ID. It’s too expensive.
And all the years before, Apple brought homebutton with the SE again and again.😂 How cheap must a device look and work to sell it three times expensive? Apple: Yes. From my acquaintance, many still took to the SE model. Out of money. Then a used iPhone 13 Pro with an acceptable battery that I have to trade after some time.
The first and second SE was still okay, but at the third stop no longer, then you should have replaced at least the home button. I find design really good, but as you say, it’s really worth not at all at the price.
The edges are annoying, the display is too small and the home button is no longer contemporary. Even for a two-thany / company handy it is not worth it. Then a Google Pixel rather than something.
Every iPhone compatible with iOS 18 is perfect for me. It’s not better. So iPhone XR, XS, XS Max and higher are compatible. I like the iPhone XR.
