You can divide each unit of length through each unit of time – and get a speed unit.

e.g. meters per second, kilometers per minute, centimeters per year etc.

And this not only works with SI units, e.g. nodes (kn) are Nautian miles per hour.

I personally prefer “furlongs per fortnight” – a real practical unit!

As many as can be generated from the combination of the various unit systems (metric, imperial, nautical, cgs, astronomic, heaviside-Lorentz, Planck units, etc.).

Among them also such extravagant combinations as “furlong per fortnight” in FFF system
