What diagnoses can a general practitioner/family doctor make?

May/can a general practitioner also diagnose psychological disorders such as eating disorders, depression, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, etc.? Or must/can this only be done by a psychologist/psychotherapist?

When suspected, the doctor will usually issue a transfer.

I think he can, but if he’s right, that’s another question.

As a rule, however, they only provide a diagnosis with “supervised…” and send one to the specialist.

For psychiatric disorder, I think they should stay out. You can forward but do not make any diagnosis.

He is allowed on and for himself, but in almost every case he lacks the necessary expertise.

He can give a suspicion, but the diagnosis only places a specialist

Such diagnosis can only place a psychiatrist or a psychotherapist.
