Wheat allergy or celiac disease during a year abroad?
Hey, I'm currently studying abroad for a year. Shortly before my departure, I found out that I'm allergic to eggs and wheat.
I didn't have any problems during the first semester, as my host family had gluten-free bread at home, and I somehow found it convenient to tell them. I didn't completely give it up, but I was fine.
After my move, which happened for various reasons, I'm now with a really great host family, but unfortunately my new host parents don't know anything about my allergies and since I've already stayed at home without telling them the real reason, I don't know how or if I can tell them now.
My symptoms also point more towards celiac disease and I just want to be able to continue enjoying my year abroad without constantly feeling nauseous and having stomach aches.
I can't just buy my own bread now and it's just uncomfortable for me because they didn't know anything about it beforehand.
Can anyone please help me
Thanks
