Continue your journey after a KVB employee revokes your ticket?

Hello, I was stopped on the tram in Cologne from Bensberg to Cologne. The card reader couldn't recognize my bus ticket (VRS Student Ticket). The employee said my ticket would be confiscated and I'd get a replacement ticket. But then another employee said that because the card couldn't be read, they couldn't issue me a replacement ticket. Now I've received a €60 fine. My question is, can I at least use this to get home, or will I have to pay another €60 fine if I'm stopped again? Unfortunately, I don't have any cash with me to get a ticket to go home, so I'm now stranded in Cologne.

I had the same time here in Berlin and then told the controller of the S-Bahn Berlin: it is the problem IHRER company and not my problem when SIE issue tickets that IHRE employees cannot read. The ticket is basically valid for the further journey, but it is direction Weiden West, but since you want to go in the other direction to Bensberg, unfortunately it does not apply. You’ve got to get yourself a tock. Until you get your pupil’s podium, pick up some tickets and leave them behind from the KVB. You should not pay the 7 Euro processing fee. That’s how I did it back then.

It’s a lie. Today, there was a stand-up control right at the station where he got the penalty issued. Apparently, he escaped out of fear when he saw all the inspectors because he obviously thought they’d get in to control him. So he knew his ticket wasn’t valid and dropped into the trap

How do you come to this realization that it was a stand-up control and not a control in the driving vehicle and our questioner lies? What are your sources for this statement? I am not in Cologne, but I am still aware that the transport companies in Cologne and also in other cities carry out checks at the accesses of railways and nich5 only in vehicles.

The document shown clearly shows that the ticket was damaged and not verifiable. So we don’t know if our question is clear with invalid ticket (so, brother-in-law). As long as the KVB (or whoever) has received and continues to receive the subscription price from the questioner, our questioner also has a right to transport. It can also simply be a defective chip (e.g. due to production errors) and as long as our questioner has not manipulated the chip himself, he still has a transport claim.

Whether he’s lying or not, you or I can’t check. I’d hold a little back in your place to give lies to people without any evidence.

“Innocent until proven guilty” is said in English (innocent to proven guilty). I would advise to practice this look at fellow human beings.

It may be that you know the structures of the KVB. It doesn’t matter. The only thing I’d let go is if you’d prove your submission by seeing him there or the like.

I am a burned child (see my post). They even asked me to get out with them at the Brandenburg Gate. Then I refused and said, “People, this is your problem that you’re putting me a card that can’t read your devices any more. You can’t expect me to arrive later. Ne Sauerei was that they took me the card. The wizard of them didn’t even make me move. So I needed a ticket for the changeover in Steglitz. I had to drive for days with single tickets. Only the fourth day after that they finally got that I had my new card in the post (which I could use only on the fifth day because I found it after work in the post). The tickets until then they have refunded me, not the postage for the letter I sent them. I then complained again and wrote to them that I expect other customer service. If they give me a faulty card, I do not want to have any administrative burden (buy tickets, bag, frank, bring to post)

And the whole way: I almost felt treated like a law surrogate.

I know very well with the structures of the KVB. I know what I’m talking about. Otherwise I wouldn’t blame anyone here

You’re lying. You knew your ticket wasn’t valid and got out of fear when you saw all the controllers on the platform and went into the stand control. Ergo knew your ticket was not valid. Tell the whole truth

It may not be that inspectors have entered the station beforehand, as all controllers are involved in stand checks at the station. Even if the Kalk Post had arrived, they wouldn’t let you get off immediately. It’s just plain lying

If you drive with your card again and which cannot be read will be 60,-€ due.

But as it says, you can show the map in the office of the transport companies and then only have to pay €7. And if you talk kindly to them, you could still be refunded the $7.

Oh no, why couldn’t it be read? But that’s not your fault. It’s your student card, isn’t it? I don’t think that’s fine. Call your parents and ask them to pick you up. I wouldn’t pay that punishment in the headquarters if it wasn’t my own fault.

haven’t you discussed with them? They see you have to go to school with it

There’s an accusation from you. Toast the cup 😉

Of course he wouldn’t admit that in a lie. Toast the cup 😉

He didn’t say he got out. Your facts remain mere accusations. And even the other points are only bullets without proof.

They’re not suspects. There are facts:

1. Fact: in case of a stand-up check, ALL drivers are unavoidable. That is, there are no testers in the buses and lanes at the time. According to his statement, he was caught in the train.

Two. Fact: He was caught exactly at the stop and at the time of standing control

3. Fact: A replacement ticket will always be issued if the e-ticket is not readable and no fee or penalty has to be paid for

In addition, black drivers tend to get out as soon as they see only one person with a warning vest on the platform. And that’s exactly what happened to hern. He has escaped in the hope that the inspectors have come into the trap

No, it’s your guesses. Facts are not at all.

BobbyS38

There are now facts from which you can conclude that it is lying. The only true thing about the story could be that the ticket has been drawn in

But you’re saying things up there that you can only know if you were with it. Don’t use anything you seem to know you well. I don’t think I’m okay just trying to stop him, whether it’s true or not.

I know very well with the structure and operation of the KVB. In the case of a stand-alone control, all driver ID testers are bound to the stand-alone control. That is, it can’t be that he’s been checked in the train.
