In the redox series, atoms are still ions, even no elements, but redox pairs. On the left the reduced, on the right the oxidized form.

You may know Cr -> Cr(III), but chrome also likes to be six-valued, so there is also the pair Cr(III) -> Cr(IV).

Maybe your new redox series is more for advanced people. Chromates are more interesting than the simple oxidation of metals that are known for the pleasure of Zink & Co.

You need to ask the author/editor what aspects/selection criteria the list was compiled.
