Wisdom tooth surgery where or with whom?
If wisdom tooth surgery is complicated or difficult, is it better to see an oral surgeon or an oral and maxillofacial surgeon? Who has more experience with complicated cases?

Hi, I have a question: How can it be that amalgam fillings are still permitted, and what's more, they're the only ones that are fully covered by most statutory health insurance companies? I mean, it's sad that in Germany we're not in a position where health insurance companies will fully pay for safer or less…
I'll tell you what comes to mind spontaneously , not in the order in which I would do it -short explanation of what it is (what it means) -How did it come about and where (who discovered it) -Can you fight it (which medications) -did it have an outbreak in the world, e.g. Europe, and…
My dentist fitted me with a bridge. Grinding down my teeth caused me to develop a root infection, and we tried to treat it with medication for four weeks. I had to take two or three 400mg ibuprofen tablets every day because of the severe pain. The whole thing started around the beginning of December,…
Hello, I had an appointment with a cardiologist today because my heart rate is too high. They did an EKG. They also did an ultrasound and a long-term EKG. I also rode my bike up to 75%, and everything was fine. Now I've been prescribed an MRI of my heart, which isn't for another three…
Hi, according to my Apple Watch, my heart rate is around 80-120 beats per minute (BPM) per day. That's already elevated. What's the best way to improve my heart health? Best regards.
Oral surgeon because he doesn’t do anything else. Other specialists also carry out operations that have nothing to do with teeth and therefore have less experience with it: https://www.ors-praxisklinik.de/services/weisheitzahn-op/

Depending on which specialists/clinics exist in your area, your dentist will transfer you to the right place.
I have already been taught, but I want to change, so this question.
So, about 20 years ago, I got the wisdom teeth out of the upper jaw. With root tip resection of the two neighboring teeth.
Sounds like something bigger? That was also!!!
I let it be outpatient in the jaw surgeon.
No problems. It is important, however, to check the wound regularly.
And yes, the whole thing I found quite painful…
Depends on how complicated it is to remove the tooth. Normally, it’s a normal dentist, if he doesn’t trust it, he’ll turn you into a jaw surgeon.
yes it is very complicated. The nerve could be hit and thus lead to complications such as loss of taste etc.
Then I advise you to let it be done by a jaw surgeon.
As I said, it can also make a ZA if he trusts it is not a problem. I know a lot of cases where the ZA has turned over to oral surgery. And I’m telling you honestly, for me, it doesn’t make any difference whether a jaw surgeon or oral chirug draws a complicated wisdom tooth. Both will have experience in it. That’s why it’s up to you who’s letting you pull your tooth.
I’m aware of that, but I don’t know myself about this issue and I’d like to have a advice from someone who knows best about it.
It’s your choice.
and why not an oral surgeon?
