Time for info: A main word with a question mark will not automatically become a question. Please note the GF guidelines.

Do you think the compulsory military will be introduced as soon as the chancellor becomes a federal chancellor?

Germany still has a conscription, this can be used again at any time if necessary.

That there will be a different form of military service in the foreseeable future is unlikely. Even if the upcoming government agrees, it will take time to implement it.

In Germany, according to §1 WPflG, all German men from 18 are subject to military service.

There is nothing that could be introduced here, there is already a conscription.

(1) All men are required from the completed 18. a year of life which are Germans within the meaning of the Basic Law; and

have their permanent residence in the Federal Republic of Germany; or

have their permanent stay outside the Federal Republic of Germany and either

(a) had their former permanent residence in the Federal Republic of Germany; or

(b) have a passport or a nationality certificate of the Federal Republic of Germany or have otherwise been subject to their protection.

If the lack of personnel in the Bundeswehr becomes too large, we will sooner or later not pass the reintroduction of the compulsory military service that was suspended in 2011. This should also be reintroduced with the possibility of civil service.

The conscription has never been suspended. The fulfillment via military service/civil service was made impossible.

The general conscription was suspended. From the archives of the German Bundestag:

Suspension the general duty to war

Then the Bundestag and you will probably assume different definitions of “replacement”. :

No, we don’t. The Bundestag only profits from the use of conscription and military service synonymously.

Our Ministry of Defence also speaks of “statement”:

That’s nice they’re talking about it.

§1 WPflG now contradicts this statement and when it was about to lift it, it was not done.

That is nice that the Bundestag claims that this is not true.

Next:

the legal obligation to Military service to be suspended under the Wehrpflichtgesetz outside the tension or defence case.

As I said, only fulfillment via military service was suspended. The compulsory military service continues. See §1 WPflG.

§1 has not been changed in the course of the decision you link.

I don’t assume an activation of conscription, it’s currently resting.

Options that are discussed more or less open are the introduction of a German national guard, on a weekend in the quarter

  • moving in the terrain
  • some shooting training
  • etc.

A further point could be that of officials, especially in the Federal Republic (the countries may adopt their own laws), must be a military service of ? In addition, it is necessary to ensure that the measures are implemented in the Member States.

Nothing can be introduced, which has been continuous since 1956 and has never been abolished.

Because he wants to import them

No, he wants to cancel the suspension. And that’s nothing new!

No, we don’t mean.

There is a conscription … < currently pauses this. Reactivation would, however, be desirable! No matter who becomes Chancellor!
