Weeds in the garden??

How do I fight weeds with household remedies so that I don't have so many weeds or none at all? Do you have any good household remedies? I only know hot water, but what else can I fight it with? And a little tip: I don't have any electricity in the garden.

Flame out the fire on the vine with propane gas. Cover the area with black foil for two growing seasons.

Roundup is good if you don't have children or pets running around in your yard or on your driveways.

Otherwise, a mechanical brush cutter with a thread spool or a weed brush for cleaning joints on paved paths, where you can no longer bend over or sit down with the joint scraper.

Environmentalists, Grenpeace, and others have been fighting glyphosate (Roundup) for decades, denigrating it, and even knowingly lying.

Roundup has been used worldwide for over 40 years because it works so well and because it's completely harmless to humans and animals. It's also harmless to insects. I'm a farmer, and I'm a hobby beekeeper. I know that.

You can bathe in it. You can take a tablespoon of it every day, or something will happen. I'd rather take a tablespoon of glyphosate than a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid. But it shouldn't (mustn't) get into waterways because it's harmful to fish and aquatic life.

However, glyphosate has not been sold to private individuals in Germany for about 10 years, but only to farmers and gardeners (with proof of regular training).

The Roundup that's sold to private individuals today looks exactly the same as before, but it doesn't contain glyphosate. Someone must have bought the rights to the name. I don't know how harmful or harmless the new active ingredient is. But it will be harmless, otherwise it wouldn't be sold to private individuals.

I used to work with Kerb 50 W for work. I sprayed it into the borders in the fall and winter, the couch grass turned brown, and it was left to rest for at least six months. It was harmless to bees. Unfortunately, everything was banned. Afterward, we all had to attend a course (for plant protection certification). It was all to no avail, because pretty much everything was banned, even laying down poison for rats and voles… times change.

Your answer is nonsense. So you'd better post your ranting under other answers, or keep quiet.

I'm old and no longer able to do what I used to do in our apartment building, but I really have to think about how I can keep the paths halfway clean without chemicals.

I'll probably have to pay for the "mechano" out of my own pocket, though I could certainly get the "real" chemo. But there are kids running around here, and some of the other tenants also have Hundings.

How much physical fitness can change over the decades. Even after two decades in our community facility, I prefer to remain "mechanical," which is why I'm included in the tenant cleaning schedule for facility maintenance.

Just not everything like it used to be with the joint hook.

I can understand why you don't believe me. Because you've heard a thousand times that it's poisonous. So you don't immediately believe it when someone says otherwise.

In this case, Greenpeace did good work and was more powerful than the farmers' lobby. But glyphosate is used worldwide. In other countries, hardly anyone says it's toxic.

Personally, I'm not interested in what "you" wrote about it.

I know how the real old "Roundup" works.

That's why I never got it!

Yes, I believe that. I know that.

There have been so many lies about glyphosate, from environmentalists, that the majority of the population believes it is extremely toxic.

I have already written that it is less harmful than the dishwashing detergent we use to wash our dishes.

And Roundup is non-toxic. Even if you use 100 or 1,000 times the amount, children can still play and dogs can run around.

You don't seriously believe that yourself! 😮

You write your opinion, and I write mine. You don't have to believe what I write.

It's harmful to nature when all the weeds are removed and everything is mowed short. That's why my pavement is full of moss and weeds. And my lawn (meadow) is mowed once a year, or not at all.

But whether the weeds are hoeed or sprayed to death makes no difference to nature. Dead is dead.

And Roundup is non-toxic. Even if you use 100 or 1,000 times the amount, children can still play and dogs can run around.

I didn't say that all chemicals are non-toxic.

Motor oil, gasoline, and diesel are also toxic. No one would drink them. But you don't worry if you get some on your hands.

We have a 1,000 sq m garden.

Either a gas burner for flaring or we use vinegar acid (60%) which we dilute with water.. (available on Amazon).

Always put water in a spray pump or small watering can first and then add the acid.

Always wear rubber gloves and safety goggles.

Find a sunny day where it hasn't rained for at least a day or two. Then spray the roots thoroughly. It will stink of vinegar for about two hours. Nothing will grow there for about two months.

Please ensure that no animals come onto the property.

Either a gas burner for flaring

Please not THIS, because at the wrong time in inexperienced hands with such devices, even with electric hot air dryers in times of drought, private property fires due to flying sparks are unfortunately on the rise.

Vinegar essence, for example, is banned in North Rhine-Westphalia, and you pay a hefty fine. But I still use it behind the house, where no one can come and smell it. And only on pavement and stones.

It depends on where, between bushes or on paved paths? On pavement, slabs, etc., you can make a mixture of vinegar essence and water and apply it with a watering can. Only in the sun so it burns. These small bottles from Lidl, for example, are enough for two small watering cans. But be careful, in many parts of Germany it's illegal, and heavy fines are threatened. This government is pretty good at threatening things; they need money 😉
