Switching from Samsung to Apple?

Hello, I'm considering switching. Can I still use my Gmail address, Outlook, etc., on Apple, or will it all stop working? What else do I need to consider if I switch?

Best regards

It is as good as all Google apps available for iOS. That would be the classics like YouTube, GMail and Google Maps.

Exceptions that do not exist for iOS are the Play Store or Google Wallet. Their main function is not available due to the different operating system.

Microsoft apps such as Outlook, OneDrive or Office are also available for iOS.

To read/write emails, you could also use Apple’s pre-installed mail app. Alternatively, you can also use GMail or Outlook for this.

Android and iOS are very similar to some points, but other points are also different. There will appear to be positive and negative changes.

If you have already purchased App in the Play Store, you will need to purchase it again for iOS. If a subscription system is used, it may not be necessary. This depends very much on the app used.

If you want to transfer data from one app to the other device, it could also be problematic. Depending on the app, this is not intended for two Android devices. If, for example, Google Drive or iCloud is used, it could be possible with the same operating system, but not when changing. This also depends very much on the app used.

Apple is designed to be a closed ecosystem, i.e. Apple only works well with Apple and other providers more badly.

There are apps from Google and Microsoft on the App Store, i.e. you can definitely use Gmail or Outlook, but it will be a bit more cumbersome.

actually not that everything is now very well integrated. I moved about three years ago and still use my Googleaccount as well as Android.

Only I recommend using the Icloud instead of Google Drive, because it’s all going a bit round.

Sorry but there’s nothing inconvenient… you can integrate both Gmail and Outlook (even multiple accounts) directly into Apple’s mail app without installing additional apps …

You can also easily use multiple cloud systems … the iPhone backup is always stored in the iCloud, except you can manually store on the hard drive using iTunes/Finder.

Apple is better than before, but it is still relatively incompatible with devices from other manufacturers.

That’s without problems. I also have other mailboxes on the IPhone than the internal mail program. To do this, simply download the apps from the App Store. Depending on your budget, there are a few things to consider when choosing the device. Otherwise, the changeover is relatively intuitive and everything will be explained step by step during setup.
