Host your own website with rassberry?

Can I post a website I created myself at home with HTML, CSS and Java on my Raspberry Pi? What I mean by that is, convert the server address for free with Dyn DNS, etc. at no extra cost. Does anyone know anything about this and can help?

Then let the hands of it open your home network ☝️

Although it is also possible to open its own network “Public”, it is already such a complex topic that it blows the frame here. If you only need classical services and functions, a great and reputable web host is certainly the better choice. After all, once a damage has occurred, the costs for this are certainly significantly higher than the most expensive provider out there should cost you.

Can you! Has – in my opinion – but only disadvantages! I’d be too expensive.

The biggest drawback: depending on the usage and downloading requirement, your internet usage is already going into your knees. Just all asynchronous Internet-Tarife are here quickly at the stop.

Second disadvantage: one should already know very exactly what to do and how the trustees (also really) are safely adjusted. Here, for example, “DDOS attacks” can be mentioned. If the provider does not explicitly offer dynamic security precautions here, it can quickly become a real problem – and this is just a keyword that a good web host will take you completely (as well as the backups).

… and even these are only extracts of the disadvantages. I don’t want to bring “bad guys on bad ideas” here too.

Then leave this with the Raspberry and prefer to take an external host, who takes care of the basic security competently and experienced.
