Wavenumber to force constant?

Hello,

I have given the wave number in 1/cm. Now I want to get the frequency (v) in 1/s. For this I set the following

Equation: 1/11(1/m) = v/299792458 (m/s), so I get v = approx. 33 * 10^8 (1/s).

So far so good, I think. Now to my problem: I have to specify the force constant in 1/Nm. I know the following applies:

v = 1/2pi root(k/μ). Furthermore, μ(CC) = 6u. Using all the information, I get for k:

k = 0.000044 0(g/s) but as mentioned above I need 1/ Nm

What am I doing wrong???

Thank you very much 🙂
