Wattpad story not going viral?

Heyy,

I used to use Wattpad, but recently created a new account.

I've now copied my old story 1:1 and republished it on my new account. My problem is that on my old account, the story had over 500 readers and was ranked 63rd in a hashtag with over 100,000 stories. The same story on my new account, however, now only has 3 readers.

What could be causing this? Does Wattpad perhaps recognize that the story is a direct copy and therefore doesn't want it to spread? (They've shadowbanned it, so to speak.) Is that even possible? Can they notice? I'm a bit confused.

Wattpad is about to get away. Technically it is hardly maintained and the chat was stopped 2 months ago. Many are frustrated because the guidelines have been tightened and stories are increasingly erased.

That’s why many users jumped off.

And aside from that: How long did you take for the 500 Reads? Maybe it’s coming.

Maybe because of the tooth of time. There were not so many fanfictions before. It was clear that your fan fiction ranks better. It’s not different from the video calls and subscriptions at Youtube. 15 years ago, you felt 1k in the first hour, no matter what it was about. Nowadays you can be happy as a little youtube if you get 10 calls after a week.
