When does water poisoning occur?

Hello, one of my friends drank a lot of water after exercising, several 500 ml bottles, I think around 6, in less than an hour. Then she felt very sick and said she had a headache and her head felt bloated, as well as a feeling of fainting. I thought she might have water poisoning. Then she simply fell asleep and had almost nothing the next day, and she felt better. When can you have water poisoning? Does it happen if you drink 3-4 liters in an hour?

That was a minimal water poisoning you’re writing. But don’t worry if the person doesn’t do it again in the days after that, she should survive it. Because of another circumstance, I had once drank 7 liters within 6h, I say how it is, didn’t even realize it until my feet were so swollen that I couldn’t stand anymore.

Until I felt so halfway normal, there was nothing left to drink, laid me down and after I was 10 times in the bathroom, something electrolyte was also taken to me in moderate form.

This is quite possible, especially if it was water without electrolyte.

Jup, sounds as if the electrolytes were drained.
