Water poisoning?
Hi,
I had no idea that something like this existed and that it was so dangerous. If a 16-year-old boy who weighs 53 kilos and is 174 cm tall drinks 5 liters of water within half an hour, what happens then?
How serious are the consequences of water poisoning and why is it so dangerous?
Or is this just a story that isn't true?
I would be very happy about some answers
Lg and please don't try or test if it's true then it's no fun
Yes, yes, there is. Drinking 5 liters of water within half an hour would definitely be very critical.
The media, for example, included the case of a young mother who had “only” 2 liters and died of it within 20 min. Even in endurance sports events, there are occasional problems, including deaths.

It also depends on the salt content of the water/drink. In short, the problem of water poisoning lies in a defrosted electrolyte balance.
Here you will find a very detailed explanation:

This is really not too fun, but thanks for the answer it is always interesting to learn something new
At 5 liters in half an hour, the probability is very high that you do not survive.
I wouldn’t test it in your place.
Is that really so bad?
