Water treatment in the hot tube?

Hello,

I have a hot tub with an external wood stove and a water capacity of about 2.5m³.

There's also a sand filter system (currently with balls). The furnace is made of aluminum.

Water is sometimes heated up to 40°C.

I have problems with the water.

– Cloudy water

– particles in the water

– a bit aligious

To the question:

Does anyone have experience with how to get it clear and clean?

Since the oven is made of aluminum, I can't use chlorine because it would be damaged.

Alternatively, I use active oxygen. However, the level drops back to 0 after 1-2 days.

I also installed a UV-C lamp in the filter system, but I don't see any improvements.

PH – constant at 7.0 – 7.4

Thanks for reading and answering!

Have you ever tried flocking? To filter out the turbidity?

The sand filter must also be rinsed back regularly. The fact that the active oxygen is degraded is normal because it reacts…

Well, since you have a lot of “infestation” in it, more oxygen is consumed, I still think that is lukewarm, what I personally disinfect with chlorine.

But even in the case of chlorine, it is so that if one has problems, a “shock chlorination” is first carried out, which is significantly higher dosed than long-term chlorination.
